Hi,
Just wondered if anyone might know of the minimum qualifications that a physio working at Conference North level would be expected to have? Might be the same across all semi pro and pro football but not an area of expertise and I am trying to find out for someone.
Any info, greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hi mate, I gave our Sports Therapist, Tommy Uda a shout for you. He said:
Minimum is an Honours Degree in either Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy or Sports Rehabilitation. Clubs at NLN & NLS however don’t actually have to have any Medical personnel present at a game, only when you reach the National League Prem that teams must have appropriate Medical professionals in place.
Hope that helps.

I remember ex Alty striking legend John Rogers acting as "sponge man" when a player got injured in the late 80s, even though as far as I recall he was an electrician! On one memorable occasion an Alty player got a boot in the most painful place possible and, as the injured party writhed in agony near the touchline, several of us on the terraces heard JR's classic diagnostic question "Is it yer f***ing orchestras?"!! :D :D :D :D
