Excellent game by both sides played in absolute terrible conditions must mention The Altrincham no 2 he was excellent Whatmoor played well
Also the keeper made to excellnet penalty stops to help win the game.

Darlo Youth won 4-0 and they get paid I'm told! If George can get enough fit players out it should be good match to watch at ML. It was an excellent game tonight by both sides played in foul conditions. Think Alty would have won easier but for so many injuries.

Hats off to TGB Heslop Esq. and his team for showing great character to triumph on penalties on an evening of sporadic and quite horrendous squalls plus occasional flashes of lightning.
However, I have to state that, to my mind, one man alone deserves the utmost credit for laying the foundations of this victory and that is none other than Phil Taylor - for selflessly allowing one of the assistant referees to borrow a pair of his shorts for the evening.
And we still haven't found out why Grahame Rowley ventured onto the pitch in order to speak to the officials just prior to the penalty shoot-out....

One of the worst nights for watching or playing football I think I have ever seen.
Full credit to the lads, it could have broken them to concede so late especially after the lad had the chance to seal it.
They kept going right to the end.
It was clear that the boy Whatmore wasnt fit (apparently he was a doubt) but he looks like an elegant footballer with bags of potential.
We look to have a quality side this year.

I heard Whatmore report Thursday morning he had an injury but his dad wanted for him to play and took him for treatment, Thats dedication
