Absolutely furious with that ref. I never focus on the official but that was disgusting.

He was about to blow when  Boston went down the line.  He seemed to wait to see if it was in.  Missed nearly every foul. Lawrie was thrown on the floor at one point. Totally weird.

Boston looked  good going forward and had some excellent players. but the referee killed it.

Good fight from the lads.

Hope their managers ridiculous over celebration comes back to bite him.

Furious.

Were Leather and Clee that poor they should have been subbed at HT?

Didn't Leather sustain an injury in the first half?

I have been advised that Clee had been struggling with a touch of tonsilitis in the run-up to this afternoon's game.

Makes sense, he wasn't at his best and usually revels in that big Boston pitch.

Calmed down a bit now but still fuming about the standard of that referee.

Was actually a very good game with both sides playing some good stuff.  We showed good character to keep going at 3-1 and could have got an equaliser.

However overall 3-2 was probably fair.  Was pleased with the fight we showed across all positions again.

Best Boston side I have seen for many a year that, disappointed to come home without any points but not to downhearted.

Need to keep this level of performance up for next Saturday now.

But how did their manager upset you with his post match celebration....?

I felt their management overcelebrated on the pitch after the 3rd when there was a long way to go but to be honest that was probably my annoyance at the time with everything.

"get back in your box" would have been the cry if it were at Moss Lane.

Think of the BPA celebration at 2-1 at their place last season.

In a way I don't blame him. Pressure was on him with the Timms situation, and as Brackley was a marker for us last week, this was a marker for them.

IMO we it could had easily been 3-3 or a 4-3 win, such was the game. Boston are the best side we've played .

However, win lose or draw unfortunately the ref has to get a mention. The worst I've seen for a while, maybe even worse than Joyce. There was a period a 3 or 4 poor fouls, for both sides, in the 1st half, and he let play on. And that set the tone. The day was summed up when in centre circle we countered,a pass was going to make it 3 on 2,but the ref was in the way of the pass and it fell to a Boston player!!

I hope we have  not been robbed of a point or three that will cost us dearly come the end of the season. The Ref's reward will probably be being given another match to perform at next Saturday.

Could they really have scored 6 on Saturday or is he just getting giddy?

http://m.bostonstandard.co.uk/sport/boston-united/boston-united-s-strikers-are-among-the-best-in-the-skrill-north-greene-1-5631979

Can't comment on a game I didn't attend, but listening in the radio it sounded like we didn't get the rub of the green and were ultimately unlucky to not take at least point despite Boston having lots of the ball?....

Where does he say they could have got six?

They were excellent going forward but they certainly got the luck with deflections on two of the goals.

3-2 was probably about right on balance of chances and play, a draw wouldn't have been unfair though and Walshaw had the best chance of the game and put it wide ( not criticising him ).

He is right to be pleased with his attack though, they looked very good.
