Strange. If you're going to declare the season as over, you have to say what is going to be done instead regarding promotion/relegation. This just leaves fans and clubs more confused as they were probably not expecting this decision so early, before there is any clear certainty as to when the virus will peak/finish and when football can continue.

It's not been decided yet

This is a one off global major incident that needs sorting...
Personally, I would write off all incompleted sports events and start afresh when this bloody awful virus has run its course..
Yes I get that sport is a major thing in people’s eyes but the preservation of life is far far more important folks..

Its pretty clear we will not see a football kicked in any sort of competitive game before mid May, possibly quite a bit after that. So the season as we know it is over. How they choose to officially "finish"the season is not clear and more or less whatever option they choose, there will be critics.
For me, I couldn't care. Its all about protecting the people around me. One day football will return and I hope we celebrate the return and not snipe at whatever sh*t solution they find...because as I see it there is no perfect solution to this dreadful situation.

Yes, the original tweet is now confirmed as false - step 5 and 6 football has not yet been called off completely.

Perhaps Premier League, Championship, League 1,2 and Vanarama divisions could be re-ordered alphabetically. Only fair way to re-start.

Starting fourth in the premier league, sounds good to me
