Help for heroes at Moss lane today

Over £7000 was raised from this match which was watched by 885 people which
including families of soldiers still serving in Afganistan. Th All star celeb
team beat a Army team made up of people from the Yorkshire regiment and Royals
signals 5-0.
The event had been organised by a group of students from Manchester metropole
university called Inspired events who were on there second year of a Events
management degree.

Well done to them and everyone who turned up to support them.

Perhaps we should invite them to arrange a fundraising match for Alty ?

It was the fantastic auction items that boosted the coffers including a signed Rooney England shirt £400
2 signed music sheets from Oasis and one from take that plus many more

Probably based up the road at Catterick

They were from Weeton barracks near Blackpool and bought 2 coach loads of families of soldiers serving in Afganistan with them.
