Our songs are so slow and boring… at least the Dinanga chant put a smile on everyone’s face.

How can we sort out some upbeat higher tempo songs?

A couple of hundred hymn sheets handed out at the next home game and we could get the place rocking!

Was looking around at our youth today… looked bored, slow long chanting! I’m not the only one that says it. Like I said, the Dinanga one made people smile. Jordan will be off soon and as for starting some, I did try as above (sh*t or not!)

All for your chants, give it a go and see what the reaction is.

Those bored youth should spent less time filming and more time singing

There were three new chants yesterday started by different groups of people.

Linney, Linney, Linney
Up front for the Alty
Play the ball behind
So he can put it away

(Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!)

I don’t care about Toby
Toby don’t care about me
All I care about
Is Alty FC

Oh what a night
Live on BT on a Saturday night
Macc play Bootle cos they’re ….
What a feeling what a night

There’s also a new one for Gyasi:

Oh Micky you’re so fine
Turn defenders every time
Gyasi
Gyasi

There’s never any status quo about our chants, if you’ve got an idea, give it a go and if people like it then it will catch on.

I’m personally not keen on your suggestions (not sure Isaac is going to take too kindly to being called a crazy little gnome!) but it’s not for me to judge so by all means belt them out at Bracknell mate. There’s something in your point about our chants getting a little stale at the moment but new, fun ones pop up all the time and did last night.

My suggestions were tongue and cheek… I was just fitting words to songs to see if I could get some cogs moving and seeing if we could come up with something new.

Aaaaallllttttrrrriiiinnnncccchhhaaaammm…
Aaaaallllttttrrrriiiinnnncccchhhaaaammm!

Sung about 15 times, slow and dreary. Maybe it’s an easy one to learn.

To be fair the Gyasi one was good yesterday. That will stick.

Think we defo need a song or two for Lundstram and Marriott.

Maybe use the Kosylo and Colclough to Rockin all over the World and change to " Lundstram and Marriott ".

The best one is "Come On Alty" sung over and over for minutes on end. I'm sure it's one that gets under the skin of opposing teams. I first became aware of it when Morecambe fans (shouting "Come On Morecambe", obviously) did it for what seemed like an entire second half about twenty-five years ago.

Been bugging me for a while, but when did we last sing the old version of "Come On Alty" (repeat a few times and stop)? Was there a period when we were still using both versions? Why did we completely drop the old one?

Unfortunately, with the crowd on non regulars, basics or easy to join in tend to be most popular. 90% of 2018 was singing Jordan Hulme.

As someone starting chants reguarly, ill go with the ones I'm most confident in getting the opening line correct.

Baines chant has legs, we had 6 months singing about going FT, so this couls work

I think in general our chants are much better than most teams and we have a lot of different ones in our arsenal. I go to Warrington rugby a fair bit and the difference in quality is stark. Very basic and some frankly misogynistic chants, glad we're much better in that regard

The Ollie Byrne/Totties chant raised some smiles yesterday.
