Your Worst alty squad???

just to get a positive feeling going on here i think we should all come up with our worst side of ex players we could possibly compile!! ;D
heres a few gems, surely whatever the new boss brings in they wont be as bad as these lot!!!

We've had a lot worse keepers than Dootson(my personal worst was Ben Williams) and to be fair to Street he got an awful injury and wasn't a bad player. We've had so many bad players in my time watching to start listing them all but the worst three off the top of my head were Peter Gick,Dave Swannick and Paul Williams.

Ben Wilkinson was a particularly strange sort of poor player. Normally when a player is sh*te, you can at least see how they might have been useful at some time in some situation.You know, lightning quick but technically awful. Really powerful but a bit clumsy. Stuff like that. Wilkinson wasn't terrible at anything, just moderately poor at everything. Bit slow, bit of a poor passer and shooter, bit lightweight, bit weak in the tackle etc etc.

Heffernan was gash and lazy with it.

Did very well towards the end of the season and would have thought will be part of next season squad.

In fairness to Brown he isn't a Left Back.

We were warned by Vic's fans when we signed him that he wasn't a full back yet we chose to play him there.

Put him left midfield and he looks a different player.

I would have teamed him up with Clee on the left of mid-field rather than play Baines (Ken's one blind spot for me)

I agree with Ecky about Dootson.

I didn't like the way be behaved at times but far from the worst keper to pull on the gloves for Alty.

the only reason why i said dootson is if you compare him to even are past second keepers ralph/saunders he was out of his depth

How many games have you seen them for? Not enough to make a proper decision about how good they really are- we're looking for a player that didn't even have one good game to be qualified for this list

really? so he had one good game and he's a good keeper? i was comparing him to the other keepers we've had recently and he's not very good IMO, obviosly u think differant fair enough

there has to be one keeper who didn't really make any 'saves'- on the same note, does the handful of games we saw Saunders/Ralph play give you enough evidence to judge their class? The fact that we've heard nothing of them since maybe suggests their levels

I disagree with your choice of Kevin Street, he gained a terrible injury before he could really make a mark (as far as I can recall?)

I'd replace him with Andy Scott, and add James Dean, Kevin Holsgrove and Blake Norton.

Certainly worse keepers than Dootson.

Ray Dennis or Lee Spencer or Nick Stephens there.

Chris Young has to get a mention. Gus Waring. Brian Croft.
