I backed Norwich to win league 1 and they are 5 nil down at half time - not a great start.

I've also backed alty to win the conference - I'm not completely mad, it's 4 place e/w and it's the handicap league, we're given 33 points on Luton, 31 on Oxford etc etc

I think some were over optimistic in their predictions, this town has never supported our club well, even when we were a top NL side, as I'd expect for August with no background results to enhance it. I bet there's about 40 from Ebbsfleet?

My first match will be next Saturday at Hayes.

Taking the girls to my parents in High Wycombe, swap them for Dad and go to the game from there.  Leave the girls with their grandparents leaving me and the Mrs a child free anniversary on the Sunday.  Brownie points from kids and wife and I get to go to the game on wedding anniversary week-end which would have been politically incorrect until the inspiration struck!

Just don't take the wife out in Hayes FFS, you'll ruin everything!

Leaving the wife in Bath on Saturday so by the time I get home it will all be tidied and clean!  Lunch will be Hope and Anchor in Midford - thoroughly recommended if you're ever down this way :)
