Afternoon all. Is this as lacklustre as it sounds? Never think we stand any chance when we play this defensive formation. If you manage to scrape a draw with a backs-to-the-wall type performance, you also need a VERY large slice of luck.

I don't think they are fully fit.

Not only is the formaiton needlessly defensive, it is also unbalanced. We have all of our attacking players on the bench.

What is the point of this?? We are in midtable, why not go for it with the 343, or at least one of Johnson, Senior or Denham on.

COMON ALTY!!!!

Can't help but feel that a defensive formation invites people to come on at us a bit. With very little up front - and I would not call Jody a target man - even when  we do get the ball forward I imagine it will just come straight back at us.

H-T 1-0

Sounds like an attempted exercise in damage limitation to me.

I presume that Denham and Johnson are not fully fit.

At least Salisbury and Woking are both losing.

half time - sounds like we are lucky to have nil. At least only 1 goal down keeps us in it for a late Joe O'Neill equaliser

I said this morning that GH would have a bit of trouble with his team selections, but never in a million years did I think he would just play all his defenders!

Should have set ourselves up the same way as we did at Burton and now we've got a mountain to climb. Very, very annoying!

LMAO, Torquay should be looking at the table and seeing teams like Altrincham and thinking we really should be beating teams like them...

It's sheer supposition on my part but I can't help feeling that GH probably views next Saturday's home game with Woking as a far more significant and winnable fixture than Torquay away and, therefore, has adopted a cautious approach this afternoon with the thought of not risking Johnson or Denham.

Alas, it looks unlikely to prosper!

I sincerely hope this approach has been forced on GH by Johnson and Denham not being fit. Because after the way we played at Burton, to choose to play this negatively would be bizarre. Then again, I assume Senior's fit and he's on the bench too.
