Desperately needs a new song.  He doesn't march down the wings anymore and its too complicated.

I hope this is one of those banter posts that always go over my head Mr Ellis.

The James Lawrie song is marvellous, in fact my favourite song since Jims Tom Kearney ditty or Matts Scott Leather one.

They don't need to be factual just catchy and whilst we sing it a bit fast sometimes it certainly seemed to get a good airing on the train home yesterday from what I saw on facebook.

Funnily enough I was going to post myself what are the actual words?

We had about ten different versions in the same song, can we clarify it?

Mind you, given the airing it got on the train home I really should know!

Isn't it about time that some of you chaps got together to compile the definitive 'Altrincham FC Songbook'?

I'm afraid that I'm rather out of touch and my knowledge tends to stop with chants of "Heath-cote, Heath-cote" (every time that we got a free kick on the edge of the opposition's penalty box) and "Fourth Division rubbish" (an old favourite during FA Cup ties).

I do recall one about Gary Talbot being bigger than Jaap Stam, too.

Over to you.....

Disagree we don't have enough decent songs for our players and that's one of them

Dens Luca (I still think Luca will sort it all out again works better)  Moult Clee Lawrie Richman Clee Reeves Kyle Perry Peter cavangh all have em

Only sean williams and Griffin truly need one.

I don't think we do too bad for player songs, I reckon we have more than most non league clubs.

Cult, we'll get a songbook put together and you can be in charge of the main stand.

Some great shouts have come from the main stand though, "Come on the Unibonders" from V of D really annoyed Nuneaton in that cup game I remember...

Does the budget stretch to monitors in the stand, with scrolling song lyrics?

VofD has a variation on that shout: "Come on, you part-timers!", which he duly wheels out when we are heading for victory against full-time opposition.

Most factually incorrect song since Cantona eats garlic.
