alty365 its not a case of people not drinking and being out for the second half, your totally missing the point.

ITS LOST REVENUE FOR THE CLUB!!! and if im not mistaken this club prides itself on making every pound count as it needs too, so no drinks at half time and fans on the terrace or bar open and money in the till !! take your pick my friend!!

To be fair 1800 people trying to get into the NWS may pose a slight safety risk, in fact lets be realistic and say 200 people. I think the bar will be busy enough before and after the match.

Its nothing to do with a riot this time or hooliganism.

Or....maybe its on police orders because the beer hungry millwall thugs will be able to smell the NWS as it would be the only bar open in Greater Manchester and potentially they could barge their way through in Sainsburys trolleys loaded with Aerial washing tablets and pre-packed winter vegetables! Mindless!

I think it will save a lot of hassle though, how do you select the 120 that can get in from the 1800 standing fans?

I favour the single transferable vote method myself.

If you look at it another way there will be more people using the snack facilities outside the bar and I'm certain the bar will be full before and after the game. It simply isn't feasible to get 120 people into the bar, serve them all and get them all out again in time for the second half.

FFS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 15 minutes to refresh and have a drink, of which many will not participate due to the usual large crowd that heads in the bar!!!

Is it really worth closing i ask !??!!

AGAIN ANOTHER POLICE INSTRUCTION!!! next they'll be saying the game should be played behind closed doors and a street ban to all altrincham resisdents!! actually i shouldnt have wrote that cos they might read this and think its a good idea !!!

OTT !!!!
To be honest its hard enough to get a drink when the att is over 1000. maybe more of a health and safety angle here.

Just one question though - I thought we had only sold 1500 tickets in total. Has the fiugure risen to 1800 standing plus whatever many in the seats?

I think that was just a rough guess at the eventual standing attendance.
