Might I suggest, as a soft southerner that you might contemplate staying over in Dorchester rather than Weymouth? It's rather more compact than Weymouth and has several really good pubs, which serve Eldrige Pope, the Dorchester Beers, as well as a couple of Palmers Pubs (brewed in Bridport) and Hall and Woodhouse pubs (brewed in Blandford). It tends to be more friendly, with less Royal Marines.
It's also easy to get the Weymouth Ground(which is on the edge of the town on an industrial estate) by bus from Dorchester.
Exeter play them on Easter Monday, and the kick off has been put forward to 13.00, and all the publicans in the area have been asked not to open brfore kick off. Exactly the same thing happened last year when we played them on Boxing Day, so we circumvented the ban by drinking in Abbotsbury before and after the match. Good luck. John Hollins is pulling lots of strings to strengthen their squad, by the way.
