Non Alty - Spurs fans

Tottenham fans have been attacked in Italy by knife-wielding hooligans ahead of tonights game.

English are seen as the king of the hooligan firms across Europe, so the European firms will want to test themselves against the best. But what is happening now is the firms in England are dying out and can't travel aboard. So the average fans are be mistaken as English hooligans and are seen as fair game to them sadly.

actually to be fair the only people you ever hear going on about having a 'firm' in London these days is Tottenham who seem quite proud of it.Not that it makes anything alright, just don't like Tottenham.
The Italians seem to go in for this stuff a lot these days, I know a few West Ham lads who went to Palermo a few years ago and say they spent 3 days under attack.

You never know, it might.

Some Spurs might like Alty considering we have played them in THREE competetive matches.

As has been discussed widely recently some Spurs fans sing songs about their jewishness.  Lazio seem to be the focus of some grim right wing fascist bastards.  Tottenham fans really should not be calling themsleves 'yid army' - it's just not clever.  That is not an excuse to kick their heads in / attempt murder but if you're a right wing fascist bastards it's like a red rag to a bull.

When in Rome, don't do like some Romans do.

They shouldn't really have to back down in the face of prejudice, should they? You should be able to celebrate the Jewish aspect of your fanbase without someone trying to kill you.

I agree, but they should not be using some of the terms they use.  If non-jews used that sort of terminology they should expect to be hoofed out of the ground.

sometimes discretion is required.

"If non-Jews..." is a useless comparison though. Because they are a club famed for having and welcoming Jewish fans. I don't think it's up to anyone else to tell them how to refer to themselves.
