Not a terrible performance tonight - I thought a draw would have been a fair result - but we have looked really toothless in the last three games and that's starting to worry me for next season.

Starting to worry me for this season Leon. I'd like to see another 2 points before we can breathe easy.

Whilst we'd all like us to finish strongly, the win at Welling banished any lingering relegation fears, no chance.

Tonight as Laurence says a draw would have been fair. A game that will not stay long in the memory of anyone who witnessed it, very frustrating that once we'd done all the hard work we threw it away. Dover have regressed as the season has gone again and were there for the taking but we didn't quite look at it to me.

Decent ground though and some good pubs. Looking forward to Dartford in two weeks. Hope the squad and all those who drive from Alty get home OK.

18/3/2000 Hayes 1-1 Altrincham             11th in table
6/5/2000  Altrincham 0-0 Kidderminster  21st in table

I wouldn't go getting complacent just yet.

Quite. We're finally getting to see the downside of a small squad, which has been my biggest concern all season. We went into last night's match short of FIVE regular starters. It would be nice to think that we can easily pick up at least six more points with Telford and Southport still to visit us, but those are just the sort of games that we find to be banana skins.

Our visit to Torquay could easily become a relegation six-pointer if Southport and Alfreton keep picking up points.

However, even if we don't pick up a head of steam, I still think Welling are so poor that they won't catch us. The bottom three are already waving goodbye.

Somebody please pay the fat lady an advance fee......

Since we played them Welling have collected four points whilst Altrincham have collected precisely none.

We just need to keep picking up points and arrest this slightly poor spell of form. I'll be a lot happier when we reach 55 points, but we need to be aiming as high as possible.

Your going of places rather than points but agree recent form is a worry

Also add that 2000 and 2015 are different in that IMO this Alty side is better and the Conference is weaker. I'm 90% that we will stay up, and said since Aldershot that we will finish anywhere between 10th and 17th. A point on Saturday will still be good, just for psychologically getting onto 50 points.

Only worry is the number of times this season where leaving the ground after a game thinking we deserved something from the game and got nothing, last night being another example.

Not sure what the fuss is about. In 2000 we drew 2 and lost 6 of our last 8 games. As abysmal as that was, a repeat now would require Welling to win 5 out of their last 8 to catch us?
