For anyone interested, I have rung the ground and they have said the game is definitely ON.

Having said that, Leamington said the same thing...

Just back with my lad having driven down, been royally ripped off at a Service station for food, to arrive at the ground just as they called it off. Was actually stood with the players when the decision was made, they were gobsmacked to say the least. Had a good chat with Neil about it and he reckoned it was the correct decision , admittedly it was extremely boggy from what we could see.

Question for me is how can their Twitter feed say " dry and firm " earlier to get to the state that pitch was in. Ok , I appreciate it had rained heavily and that is unavoidable...however I cannot believe it was " dry and firm" before the rain came down. It rained yes, but not in biblical proportions.

Gutted to say the least, not so much at the expense of the trip because I guess that is the chance you take, more at the apparent amateurism of the folks who implicated conditions were fine. I had double checked before setting off, now having to explain to a gutted 12 year old on how this can happen.

I'm assuming it will be ok, at least 24 hours since the last deluge.

Yes a modern stadium, but like others I found the locals friendly and I thought they were good hosts. The girls serving the bar said that we were the noisiest away support they had heard, which is testament to the 400 of us who made the trip.

Had the chance to look at the goals last night, don't think Scott will be feeling too good about his part in at least 2 of them ...that said he has been magnificent this season and he has carried the defence on his own at times, particularly with the injuries we have had at the back.

On 2nd thoughts, we had 2 subs but it still didn't feel like 4 extra minutes!!

Words cannot explain how tough to take that result is. To a man we battled hard and to have it snatched like that with the last kick of extra time is gutting.

1.Where did that crap ref get the 4 minutes from? I only counted 4 subs (1 Alty, 3 Colchester ) so at 30 seconds a sub that's only 2 minutes. There were no other significant stoppages in the 2nd half, so I cannot understand 4 minutes.

2. Their best player ( and scorer of 2 goals including the winner ) kicked the ball behind the stand after the game had stopped earlier in the match without even being spoken to. Surely a yellow card? He then goes on to get booked later on.....so in my book that's a red.

3. Jake Moult was unbelievable today. Fantastic skippers performance and deserving of keeping the band. Great goal ( 2nd worldly of the season ) and a general performance of such high quality it took my breath away. On top of that, Other notable performances include Ranks, Scott-- and Reevesie for playing out of position and grafting like never before.

4. Unless Ryan got a knock, I could not believe taking him off for Nicky. Surely it should have been for Lawrie who was bang average today? Nicky so unlucky to not score in injury time himself, great run.

5. Lastly the fans....you were awesome today. Brilliant consistent support for 94 minutes. Made me proud to be associated with this great club. My 12 year old lad was in tears at the end, you have an Alty fan for life, right there.

Altrincham FC First Team / That is a superb away win

Well done boys, was great to see that battling performance .

Deasy was immense, must be one of the best in the League.

Plus, well done to these fans....though seeing Scott Leather dancing in his shreddies in the dressing room has left me scarred for life.

Ok now we know it's Sunday, does anyone know what the likely arrangements will be? Will we receive a ticket allocation or just pay on the gate on the day?

According to their official Club website we play in the National League North....uninformed pr*cks.

Shouldn't have thought it will be all ticket, Barnsley seem to only take 500ish to away games

Been on the Barnsley forum and they think it's hilarious we reckon they only take 500 away. One guy is saying they will bring 2 to 3 thousand lol.

I have made this point before but now we have a decent thread....if we could at least do some small jobs around the place it would make a great difference ( whilst acknowledging the need for a safer terrace in the Chequers End ).

I'm thinking ... Why do we have that fenced off area in the Golf Road end full of old chairs/tables/ building materials ? It looks - and is- an eyesore that just needs sorting.

There are loose planks of wood just lying around, why can't we do a quick tidy job and make it a safe environment for everyone. If the club can't get anyone to do it then I'm sure there is enough goodwill and volunteers around to help out.

I thought the atmosphere was great in the 2nd half, can't remember when it got tense and close to being out of order. I'd also have to say that just because we have been soaked at their ground in the past, we shouldn't ensure their fans get wet when we have the option to accommodate them in an otherwise empty covered enclosure. Surely we are better than petty acts of revenge ...let's be honest it would not have been their fans who had any influence on our fans getting wet.

Fair play to the stewards today in my opinion, and I just know how unpopular that will be with some of you but I am entitled to air my view.

Great to see us up to 12th, not sure we played that well today and we have our keeper to thank for the win, top performance.
