Altrincham FC First Team / Re: Kidderminster- Match Thread
« on: April 02, 2016, 08:46:16 PM »
As the match went on, and we fell deeper and deeper back, it seemed inevitable that Kiddy would score. It's gutting that it came in the 89th minute, but we got what we deserved. There were far too many poor performances today, the only ones to come away with any credit ( for me ) were Deasy, Holness and Moult. I don't want to slag individuals off --  let's be fair these guys don't go out to deliberately play poorly, but at least show some guts and fight in the predicament we are in for Gods sake.

A word for our fans today...great support in good numbers (119 according to the stadium announcer).

Been said before, but we need at least 4 points minimum from these 2 games this week. Just can't see how we will get them with this mindset and playing style.

Anyone got any news on Stuart Coburn....did he officially retire or is he still battling the calf injury he had?

Just not heard anything, unless I missed it

That's great news, and an indicator that were not just lying down and accepting our fate.

Some folks on here's negativity is mind blowing at times.

3 points is a must today, let's get behind our lads

Rest assured I am not lying, why the hell would I get involved in something like this otherwise? Josh was genuinely gutted by what he heard, I've been around long enough to recognise that. The police called me to say that investigations are 'ongoing' ...whatever that means. I'm sure if they had someone for it then it would have happened by now, the longer it goes then the less chance there is I guess.
Just hope Josh gets over it and moves on, no-one should have to put up with that.

I have spoken to Barrow Police and told them what I know, which is only Josh's reaction and words when I spoke to him. Don't think it will make any difference, but I hope the morons get their just desserts

I was there , and when Josh was visibly upset standing by the corner flag I went down to have a word with him ( I have just posted a separate thread on this ).  He was very emotional, I won't repeat his words for his privacy, but safe to say that he had been racially abused by the neanderthals in the covered stand.

Glad it's being looked at, hope someone gets the book thrown at them. But what are the chances??

As an aside to the game today - and I'm not sure if this being made public - but Josh Ginnelly suffered racist abuse in the second half before being subbed off. He was visibly upset, and I know this was reported to the Stewards by Ian, and goes some way to explain why he seemed on edge of his emotions and got booked for dissent.

On top of that horrendous decision at the end of the first half when he skinned the full back on the edge of the box before being brought down ...only to be pulled up for 'diving' by that crap referee...sums up a sad day for the lad. Incidentally, strange that the ref didn't book him for diving if that's what he thought, I understood it was an automatic yellow card??

May be some time before I go back to that cold, unwelcoming sh*thole.

Like others, I'm dumbfounded by Lawries substitution last night. Not his greatest fan, but he was lively all night and looked the only one really up for it ( I also thought he was decent against Macc).

Sinking faster than a Russian submarine now, the next 3 games are absolutely vital now, starting at Barrow on Saturday. We need to get something from the game, then it's a must win for me against Aldershot.

Typical of our fortune for Tim to let that one in, a howler in every sense of the word. To be fair, he has earned us plenty of points through the season, but that was a real momentum stopper considering we had just equalised.

Last thing posted on the website to my knowledge was that we were approaching Tranmere for an extension, I don't think I have seen confirmation either way?

Are 6 and 9 not the same too Ian? Unless my eyes are playing up, which is always possible!
