If you want someone good at handling an average team then Hodgson is your man as proved by his record with Switzerland and Finland.

Don't know anyone that wanted Harry other than the London press. In all his years of management he's won one trophy and he did that with money the club didn't have.

I'll take Roy Hodgson. He does his man-management away from the media spotlight and not at press conferences like Harry. I'm surprised Mick McCarthy was never mentioned considering his experience as an International manager.

The press should leave roy alone, what on earth are people doing buying the sun? for a pound caravan holiday in  accrington? Cavemen!!!

Hodgesons had his day though, the fa never get the best man becuase most of them have never played the game, im gonna support leichtenstein or sommet lol

Personally I would have said Mick McCarthy, he took an Irish team which were no world beaters to the knockouts of the World Cup- without his influential midfielder

I would say martin oneills rise and triumph's up the english ladder plus his experiance and passion makes him the ideal candidate, but again the fa balls it up

I agree that Martin O'Neill has a lot of things going for him but as an Irishman how passionate would he be about the England job?

Welease Woderwick...

Hodgson has got the job, best of luck to him.

Said elsewhere on the forum that the next England manager is currently plying his trade at Southampton.  If I were a gambling man I'd put cash on that.

No it's an Ayats Bravo (for the uninitiated Elite have a couple, which are frequently to be seen on the hard shoulder of the Motorway).
