Great idea thanks for that Brian.
Brought back happy memories.

I noticed that we got some good publicity in the Sunday Times last Sunday.
An article in the body of the main paper and the headline act in the Best Places To Live supplement proclaiming Alty as the best place to live in the country.

We got a mention in both sections. "Even the football club has a nice atmosphere and is good at welcoming families"

Yes JJ over hit a few crosses but he also hit three beauties across the six yard box in the first half alone which no one was any where near getting on the end of.
Ash Hemmings also put a few nice low crosses in but again no one was anywhere near them.
Dens, who was my man of the match, showed more desire to get into the box than either of our central attackers or any of our midfielders for that matter.

4th left winger of the season and we aren’t out of August. Let’s hope he helps us rediscover last seasons form.

Interesting that he says that there’s isnt a quick fix and the fact he thought it could get worse before it gets better. I’m not sure what to make of that. We haven’t made wholesale changes to a squad that reached the playoffs and at times played some superb football. What is he therefore referring to ? A change in playing style ?

I thought that Connor would be a really good signing but so far I have to say he has been totally underwhelming. Im not sure he fits into the style of play we have had under Parky in the last two seasons. I remember Bernard Morley saying after the Chester game that we are playing a different way now, and the what he witnessed wasn't typical of an Alty side in the last two seasons. Like Andrew commented above, its really difficult to put your finger on what is going wrong, but it certainly isnt clicking.

Agree with all of that. Just wondering whether putting Arnold as a 10 in a bid to get him in the game is an option and put Hancock on the left cutting in, because for much of the games I’ve seen him play he has been a passenger.

Agree with the majority of the above. Toby Mullarkey has to start on Tuesday night, he looks good and if he isnt played in a back three then id be tempted to put him in midfield. Arnold and Hulme were anonymous for the majority of the game. No complaints about the result, but things could have been different if we had scored one of the early chances (Hulme and JJ).

Sorry to see Chadwick go after a solid pre-season but I'm excited by the signing of Walters. It could also mean that, for the first three games of the season, we may see Arnold in the #10 role with Walters on the left. That excites me.

After the Fylde game I also felt that Arnold as a number 10 could be the answer. He has the intelligence and creativity to play there.

I wonder whether we may try and get Callum Dolan back? If we only had the budget for one id be tempted to go for him. Bags of potential.

Gutted, one of the few players that could split a defence with one pass, but as others have said an opportunity he couldn't turn down. This new lad looked very useful in the game at their end earlier in the season. Big powerful centre mid. Could be a massive signing.

Ashley Hemmings and a quality central midfielder would be good. For the money he is on id let Drench leave. Everybody else to stay.

Looked like a ref mistake from where I was stood , but after seeing the video I’m
In agreement that TT should have put his foot through the ball

Who booed them off on Tuesday? I didn't hear any if there was. Losing a battling game to the team that are probably going to win the division is not a booing off offence.

There were boos on The Golf Road. It was a dire performance at times.

Who boos a team that’s in the playoff positions of a league they’ve just been promoted to?

What a ludicrous response to a defeat! Booing off a team that won promotion last year and is in the playoffs is pathetic. Parky and the team are doing a good job, yes I think at times we overplay at the back but generally its very good.
