My main feedback is the speed of update. Getting results and quick report up asap is the main thing, it was a bigger issue when there was no live update page either. Info on the first team squad was also missing but is there now.

Speed of updates!  Even JL’s approach of stringing the tweets together to make a match report is better than complete silence. Home page doesn’t even acknowledge the game happened. The fixtures page hasn’t even got the Stockport score up yet. The old site had live text updates so you could catch up part way through the match or afterwards.

Update JL has now updated his site with a copy of the Stoke report so two updates before the official site even has the result available.
full time and proud of it

Alty Files is my first port of call for club news. Has been for years. The official site looks snazzy but lacks content. The old saying fur coat and no knickers comes to mind.
You saying John Laidlaw wears a fur coat and knickers then?

Disappointing attendance today with city or united not playing I was hoping for more 2500 just over 1700 is quite poor TBH.the game itself totally over shadowed by a joke of a referee and his assistants two blatent penalties waved away and the amount of times he stopped the game for little niggles was embarrassing hopefully never see them at ML again but unfortunately will probably ref one of away games.Did PP get a yellow card aswell?awful start to the game unfortunate OG but for the first 25 mins we were awful hopefully just nerves, second half no contest tore them to shreds but no end result.lots of positives today.we will hold or own this season that I am sure,Bromley next onwards and upwards.
I think the £19 and £15 is probably an issue to the casual attendees. I was expecting a healthy 2K plus attendance yesterday and was surprised how sparse the terraces were especially as United and City both play today. It’s going to be interesting to see how our crowds go this season. It was far from a cold rainy Tuesday night yesterday.

Marston's have distribution rights for what is described as an American craft ale brewer called Founders. I'm not sure what
qualifies as a craft brewery. I've always visualised a small family brewery providing niche products
Founders are big in the USA and claim to be a family business.
Their products include ALL DAY IPA 4.7 ABV, RUBAEUS 5.7, MAS AGAVE 10.0, CBS 11.6, UNDERGROUND MOUNTAIN BROWN 11.9 KBS 12.3. Good grief, I'd be blowing bubbles.

I know it’s a bit negative but I’d take 17th now. I’m obviously hoping and expecting better than that  but staying up this time is absolutely vital. If we go down the the full time thing will be finished before it’s begun.
I get your drift but anything below 13th would be disappointing if not disastrous. On the plus side there would be little or no interest in our management duo.

Feels like first day at school today. Into the unknown. I’m confident the preparation has been thoroughly done and dusted and we’ll be fine. It’s the first league game but it feels like a cup final. Part of me wishes it was 5pm and we had three points in the bag. Anyway, it’s glass half full time and roll on 3pm and that leap into the unknown. Geronimo!

Parky the PE teacher made me smile. University Lecturer in Sports Science sounds better. 😂😂😂

i will more than likely miss this game,as we are out for most of the afternoon : (
Does this mean those who predict the crowd should reduce their prediction by one?

Seems the CSH isn’t a free house then. We’ve not fallen out with Libero it’s just that the club want a larger cut from the sales in the relaunched fan zone. I understand the clubs stance. From most fans viewpoint they want what Libero offered them before which was a more niche craft beer variety.
If deep 61 and Hobgoblin and suchlike spring up in the fan zone it won’t satisfy the demand. We may be jumping to the wrong conclusions and the board have something up their sleeve that will keep everybody happy. I live in hope, that’s why I stick with Alty! 🤞🤞🤞

Not to be pedantic, but a lot of those annoyed are annoyed because LIbero having seamingly been cut loose.

My view, as made to Bill and LL, was you should have tendered Libero before annoucing; not just cut them out. or if planned to cut them lose, had a plan to place them elsewhere.

Wasn't there 4 huts in Fanzone; I imagine there could be space for the LIbero line-up and then club mass-appeal stuff. People can vote with their wallets; and let the free market decide.
Hashtag I agree with your observations entirely. I got the impression Libero had been thrown out as if they'd outlived their usefulness. They clearly haven't as I anticipated using them again when the fanzone reopened and I'm by no means alone. If the fanzone is reborn with it being solely an extension of the CSH offerings, I'll be arriving later after drinking elsewhere before the game. I do like to support the club in every way I can and will continue to do so, but when it comes ale I prefer some craft.

I'd like us to have fan fare begin before teams emerge where we can, and then teams walk out on the poignant bit.

Always seems to start too late
You’re spot on with the timing. It wasn’t always so I’m sure. I seem to remember the fanfare starting before the teams emerged from the tunnel.

In times gone by Alty Tunnel Steward would give the signal to start Fanfare as we were coming out of the tunnel.
If only we could replace ATS with someone with the same expertise we'd crack it. Perhaps combine switching over a TV to be included in his remit.

I think we’re well prepared and capable of giving a good account of ourselves. I haven’t a clue about Maidstone and what they have to offer.
