Vics due potential windfall from sell-on
« on: June 07, 2017, 02:32:00 PM »

Rochdale have signed Jordan Williams from Barrow, quite a few on Barrow's forum reckon Vics had a sell-on.

Undisclosed fee, but believed to be in the region of £100k.

When he signed for Barrow, the BBC reported that he'd been on non-contract terms with Vics - surely they wouldn't have got a penny if so, but who knows.

If Rochdale can pay £100k for a non league player, makes me wonder what we did / could have got for Duncan Watmore...

If he was on non-contract terms, I fail to see how they could get anything from the deal. I remember when Mark Quayle was playing for us on non-contract terms and somebody just put in notice for him and took him off us for nothing.

If you were a Northwich fan, you probably wouldn't be bright enough to realise that.
