Very disrespectful to an opposition in turmoil, only my Personal opinion.

You'll be telling us next that we should roll over for Dover.

West just seem to be Alty cast-offs; how many do they have?

I know they have Heathcote, Rhain Davis, Gabidon...

Tbf to West Didsbury they are in a title winning battle with the isle of man and it may come down to goal difference. St. Martins play the IOM on Saturday so it was necessary.

The game was played in a professional competitive spirit.

In their last few matches, St Martin's have had Troy Taylor in goal. He has played a couple of matches for our reserves, and was signed in February "on loan from Altrincham reserves", along with his brother Logan.

I saw them lose "only" 5-0 at Cheadle Town  (who had Elliot Wynne in goal, by the way) last month and Troy Taylor was superb. The young team were completely out of their depth, but he made save after save and  kept the score vaguely respectable and below double figures. I heard a similar report about him from someone who saw Wythenshawe Amateurs beat them 9-0. However, he was unfortunately suspended for the WD&C match as he received two yellows against Sandbach United, apparently, and his absence really could have made all the difference. If he is back for the FC Isle of Man game, I bet the score will be lower.

I do admire St Martin's for continuing to fulfil their fixtures when they get thrashed every week, unlike certain other clubs, and hope they can regroup in the Shropshire County League or wherever.

Attendance 940 at the level is amazing. Credit to them. How many of us have been at ML with far less attendance over the years at a much higher level?

Are they shaping up to be a sort of mancunian Dulwich Hamlet?
I wish them all the best - especially given the Alty connection.

I’ve never been to the match there but seen enough on social media & been out enough round there to safely say that is very much the vibe I get. With that kind of support they could easily sustain an NPL level side but that’s a long way off yet. Suspect them & Wythenshawe Town (the one that play by the big Tescos) get the odd Alty floater when we are away.

Very much so, and they have certainly caught the imagination in Chorlton, where you can see people in club colours who don't look like  a traditional or stereotypical football supporter.
The only thing is that the Brookburn Road ground is very limited for their support, having just two small stands at each end and little elevation.

Surely if the demand was there, they could look at a site on the corner of Hough End (where the rugby club is)...
