Interesting name on the PFA list of players not retained
« on: June 09, 2008, 11:40:53 PM »

Released by Everton:

Shaun Densmore (son of former Alty left full back Peter Densmore).

If he's as good as his father was, he'd be more than welcome at Moss Lane!

Now THAT was a great tackle - in arguably the most important match the club ever played: on Valentines weekend 1986.

If we were to sign Densmore Junior, he'd join Aspinall Junior and there was somone else recently wasn't there - any other father / son combinations come to mind?

Mal Bailey's son plays for the youth?

1) Kyle and Phil Wilson - yup that's the one

2) Densmore tackle - about 60 minutes into FA Cup Round 4 York City vs Altrincham - people in the crowd were talking about Bobby Moore (a former England captain for the younger viewers).  Striker was clear through, and Densmore (who only made his debut in the 1st round at Chorley) tackled him cleanly and came away with the ball despite starting his tackle BEHIND the striker.

Dont think he's signed for anyone yet.  I've noticed I mentioned him in another thread, I must be loosing my mind.  The fact i'm writing this after 3AM certainly supports that.

I think he should make a full time pro and I hope he makes it but if not Alty would be a great place to go
