Title: Who's going to Hinckley?
Post by: Mrs Warbouys on April 18, 2013, 12:21:05 AM
Quite a few on the 09:07 out of Piccadilly

Pub of choice is the new plough which is the red dot just below where it says Charles st on this map, its 700 yards from the station and on the way to the ground, if you click on the dot it will show you a picture of the pub

The coach should be arriving about 1:20 as its last league game of the season so we'll walk down there.

The Tamworth Alty Army will be marching to Hinckley in the footsteps of the Romans who defeated Queen Boudicca at a site just off Watling Street (the A5). Well sort of... we might get a lift there instead.

Its 15 miles from Nuneaton

Also quite a large town centre (bigger than Alty), which is nowhere near the train station. I have been there before

Also the old ground was a good 45 min walk from station. I belive the new ground a good half mile further out of town

Good luck

Hinckley is just under 5 miles from Nuneaton, I've been to Hinckley town centre on numerous occasions, and I can assure you its not even as big as sale town centre...., The new plough inn is 700 yards from Hinckley station and infact its only 4.6 miles from Nuneaton station. The ground is a good way out of town though, probably under a fiver in a taxi from the town centre.

I agree with jimmy Hardman, everyone should try and get to this one to see us over the finish line if we can get a result.

Hi guys, Hinckley fan here just reading some of the posts on this thread and I can say that the plough inn is a 15 min walk from the station and NOT 700 metres as some are suggesting.plenty of pubs in the town centre but a taxi will cost a lot more than a fiver to get to the ground from town maybe £10 min I would say, hope you all have a good day out and good luck in the playoffs.

I went!  I worked out i could just about get away with watching the first half - which I did.

So the last two Alty goals I have seen have seen Reeves score after a keeper with a criminal conviction, and a history of drug taking made an error
