Title: Farsley v Stevenage
Post by: Dougals Dad on January 24, 2008, 08:43:07 PM
0-0 at half time with just one shot on target (from Farsley)

Lets hope Stevenage have another one of their improved 2nd halves.

is it just me or do neither side look like they can be arsed tonight? Even the referee had enough!

Stevenage had better start playing in the 2nd half.  That performance should be investigated.  Complete toss.

Possibly the worst game of football i've ever seen in my life, why didn't Stevenage play like that against us??  They looked like a pub side!

Stevenage should be thoroughly ashamed of that performance. I expect "professional" outfits to disregard bad weather and poor playing surfaces. They were absolutely shocking and were not interested in the slightest right from the word go.

Agree with the posts above. Stevenage were poor. To be fair to Peter Taylor looked a bit miffed by it all. That George Santos bloke making his debut for Farsley - he seemed familiar. Has he played in the Premiership/Championship at some point?

They said he used to play for Ipswich.

With all due respect we should be panning teams like Farsley!

They dragged us down to their level and we didnt know how to cope. Im dissapointed in my overpaid players, they seem to think that the Conference has become a bit of a goldmine for money grabbing mediocre footballers to just turn up and grab a quick buck! Well, theyre absolutely correct, we shouldnt have to come to places like this anyway, i was the England manager you know!

He was a bit of a cult hero at Tranmere about 10 years ago.

I loved his backpass to the keeper from about 8 yards out in a crowded area!

I was quite pleased with a draw in the end as Farsley seemed to be the only side showing any likelihood of winning.  :)

I thought they played reasonably well.

Wasn't he also at QPR at some time or other?

A disappointing result overall, but lets not be to disheartened by it, we are still out of the bottom 4.

George Santos, did play at a higher level, but also played against Alty at Moss Lane this season for Oxford, where shortly after that game he was released. He'll improve Farsley at the back..

Cool, although I thought it was Arthur Gnohere (sp) who played against us for Oxford?

He did look quite good along-side Iqbal for them although Steveange hardly tested them
