All though we might only see 100 or so at Gloucester tomorrow, the followings so far have been fantastic, if you look at the average gates of the clubs weve visited so far you can see weve really got behind the team so far, lets hope it keeps up,Im sure it must be great for the management and the team to see so many at away games

You are wrong. I would suggest that little, if any, of our playing budget for this season remains. Our attendances for the season have already been factored into the financial planning. We are not a club who is going to go down the road of putting ourselves in a perilous financial position for the possibility (remember this is far from guaranteed) of any short term gain. The wolf has already paid a visit to our door and left very little meat on the bones, we are very fortunate to have a club at all. Previous giongs-on (and we'll leave it at that) mean that we were not starting from any position of financial power.

Other clubs have sugar-daddys or are flying very close to the wind.

Ok but surely at some point our gate money should come into play against lesser supported teams?

It has already. We've got Clee, Densmore and Reeves in the side. Who have Solihull Moors got?

the way the club is now run financially is the ONLY way for the club to have future.  No more sugar daddys please.  If we don't have the cash then don't spend it.  Budgets are drawn up based upon conservative estimates of income (I hope).  Sorry this may sound a bit drab but that is the way way it must be.
