Lets remember that Exeter are (amongst the) favourites for the title and we have largely a new team.

I fancy Senior might come in for Tuesday.

Disappointing today.....early days yet.  Have to believe we are better than last season.  Lets see what happens v Halifax.

Read very carefully! "Alty 1 Exeter 4 - This is utterly ridiculous.

Exeter make the scoreline extremely flattering after Stansfield made a bullocking run down the left flank and squared for Elam to blast the ball into the corner of the net from 20 yards.

Alty don't deserve this but still, there will be plenty of work to do in training this week."

Now I'm going to watch the cricket........

Oh poo!

We sounded good first half.  Commentators hoping Exter could get back into it.  The last couple of goals sounded like keen happy forwards running past tired hot defenders

I suppose it could be worse, I was watching the City West Ham game with a couple of ex pat Hammers fans and WHU looked absolutely terrible!  0-2 did not flatter City at all.   Come on Alty!  Here's to Tuesday.

At 2-1 you might have said fair enough, Exeter just that little bit better after a nervy start where any cows arse would have been safe from banjo attack. Just at the end tho' Alty got sloppy and gave a little blonde bloke too much room and he jinked in a good goal. Then as Alty pushed up to get the one goal back, the equaliser and the winner all in one go, City scored the classic break-out goal with the best strike of the day. I don't think Alty need to be too jittery at this stage. The substitutions upset the balance that had served them well up to that point, and Exeter will have easier games and not get four. Might have been a 4-1 scoreline, but it wasn't really a 4-1 game.

On the BBc's text commentary it looked good upto about 55 minutes though for the 1st 30 minutes they showed Exeter all over us.I ven brought my Alty shirt into work with me and have it hung up in the signalbox window for luck but did not work  :( Remember also the team are still gelling)Also remember Exeter are top

yes. it's no disgrace losing to the team at the top of the league, especially when you are bottom.

We're not bottom - we're 3 points in front of Crawley and only 1 point from 15th (where I think we'll finish!)

Good point. Why don't the league tables i've seen online reflect this? Is Crawley's deduction under appeal?

Exactly,
Its the first day and we've been handed a tough draw against a tough team, i think the majority of people think we will stay up so lets keep the belief alive and get behind the team!!!
I mean we lost the first game of the season 3-0 against stevenage 2 years ago and we finished 3 above the drop zone and we can do it again! and this time we hopefully wont then have to go through a ridiculous points deduction!  ;)
