It is with great sadness that I bring the news that Rob passed away this morning.
Rob was a stalwart fan of the club through the 70s and 80s. I'm sure that fans of the club during those times would recognise Rob even if they don't know the name.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
RIP Rob.

Funny guy,and loyal supporter. shame ill health stopped him attending matches, RIP Rob

Happy memories from the singers in the 80s and we used to have good banter on Facebook as well

I'm sure I would have known him by sight but can't put the name in place. So young and so very sad.
-
Need to see a picture of him as I cannot place him either, but so sad to hear of his death at such an early age, commiserations to friends and family, so sorry to hear of their loss.
-
This is a good likeness....bugger didn't really change for 30 years.....a really nice funny big old softy gentleman.....remember one away trip when were all trying to trace the source of a strong smell of alchohol while Rob innocently swigged a bottle of 'coke'.....

Oh jeeze, he's not the guy who stands 1 barrier behind me with his son? is it.?
If it is him I say hello to him every game.

Rip remember him from the 80s maybe 90s .

Steve, I'm the guy who stands behind you with my son. I remember Rob well from the 80s, he was my brother's best man in fact, but he was at least a foot shorter than me! Shame he'd not been for a while, he was a regular for years, but amongst a number of health issues he was on dialysis and I don't think went out much in recent years. RIP, he was a funny guy

Very sad news.
