Title: Congratulations Shaun Densmore...
Post by: blackpoolalty on February 04, 2009, 06:26:30 PM
From altrinchamfc.com

Though he missed last night's win over Northwich through suspension, Alty's midfielder Shaun Densmore has reasons to be happy today. He has been called up to the "Contingency Squad" for the England C squad, (the former semi-pro side), for their match against Malta on February 17th.

My congratulations are through gritted teeth, as was mentioned previously, it favours us not one bit and will probably be inevitible he leaves in summer  >:(

Im very selfish !

Absolutely - totally deserved and didn't last night just prove (Again) how much we miss him when he isn't playing?

ATS,

Agreed.

But let's not forget that the reason he wasn't playing is that he keeps getting himself booked!
And, even more frustratingly, these bookings are often the result of him making unnecessary tackles in areas where there is no imminent danger.

Can his Dad not give him a crash course on how to improve his tackling skills...?!
Memories of York City in 1986, anyone?

The good thing is he's still only a nipper and I'm sure with a bit more maturity he will iron out these little flaws in his game. I think he has a very exciting future ahead of him!

Well done Shaun, a key member of our team, highlighted on tuesday without him.

Unfortunately I'm not old enough to have witnessed Peter Densmore play, but it sounds like Shaun is starting to follow in his footsteps!

If I admitted that he was better than his Dad, do you think he'd stay? (or at least sign a 2 year deal?)  :D
