..that Col may not start on Sat.

Surely he has to??!

It would be criminal if he didn't. I'm surprised he's not started games since he announced his retirement. Even more so when you consider Big John is starting ahead of him

I wouldn't have thought there was any doubt at all that Colin would start on Saturday.

I think its pretty professional of GH to continue to pick what he feels is his best side, based on the opposition etc, regardless of emotions.

I tend to agree with the theory that he will start the game and then be withdrawn during the second half when he will receive a standing ovation from the crowd..

Colin actually looked really sharp when he came on last night, set up Chris's goal and nearly scored himself. He'll definitely start on Saturday - the business with him changing shirts at half-time so the club can auction one and give the other to his sponsor pretty much confirms it.

I nearly had a heart attack when I misread the headline on the main site "Colin's Send off" as "Colin Sent Off".

Imagine...that'd be awful.

Im certain that Colin will start on Sat, hopefully wearing the captains armband.,. Play about 75 Mins then go off to standing ovation (hopefully the Cambridge fans will join in) as we would if it was one of there all time great players signing off.

The sun will be shining, Lots of retro tops (sadly I dont possess one)..

Hopefully the crowd will be swelled by the fact that it is Colin's last game and Cambridge bring plenty of fans as it the last game of the season..

Ohh and Alty win 2-1 Little and Senior  just to round things off nicely...

Cmon The Alty....

Surely picking Big John ahead of Colin was the opposite - saving Colin for Saturday.  There was no comparison in terms of performance!

I think McAliskey is taking a bit of a beating over last night. Now I'm not a massive fan of him, but I think 1st half behind Clee he was our best player. He was holding it up well, laying it on for Clee or Senior, and didn't look out of place. Admittedly he wasn't the at the races 2nd half, but then again who was?!?!?

I know the game already had changed entirely when they came on but I thought Little, Carden and Doran all did better than the players they replaced on Tuesday. I think we should start as we finished on Tuesday unless they decide to go 442 rather than 523 (or whatever it is) - ie with Col starting.
It would only be an emotional decision if Col wasn't really good enough to start.
