The team that season was so strong and physical but we had two strikers who scored for fun.

The two main strikers also had a great back up in Marcus Hallows until he sadly got injured.

Conclusive proof right there that I wasn't lying to Big Toe when I told him that this was the first game I met him at and he was stood next to me. I've still not got over that fact that he kissed me on the face. Me, a young, innocent 14 year old. Horrific scenes!

You know that goal was better than I always thought looking at it again. I thought he just lashed home a rebound but if you look closely he actually steadies himself and adjusts his feet before picking his spot. Great stuff.

Marcus Hallows had scored a total of 11 goals during the 2004/05 season, before his playing career was ended with 10 league fixtures still to be played.

Rod Thornley scored a total of nine goals that season.
