Hi to all Altrincham fans
Just a bit extra about our ground - the picture you've seen doesn't show the molehills in the centre circle and in each penalty area. Nor does it show the patch of nettles and thistles behind the goal where the away fans stand. We have to clear the pitch of the horse and cow manure before the start of each game but at least we got rid of our anthrax contamination 2 years ago!!!

Sounds ideal...  :o

Perhaps you'd contact Jim Rushe of Northwich Vics, he's always looking for clubs to host his tin pot club. He may find your facilities a bit dazzling to be fair.

Our away record is better than our home record so far this season....

Reminds me a bit of Kendal's ground with just the one main stand.

I don't think its very respectful to be derogatory about a club levels below us. Best to just go there, accept their hospitality gracefully, enjoy the game and - hopefully - celebrate a win.

Hmm, obviously we don't want to come across as big heads.

However, if we lose this surely it will go down as one of the worst results in our history?!

Anything less than a win will be a poor performance.

I dont think we've ever been the type of team to be big heads, its just a small ground so obviosly fans are going to see it as tin pot, thats life

Bonz a brilliant reply,had me laughing,well done.
Having followed Alty since 1964 i have been to some shockers of grounds, think Middlewich we drove into a field(down a country lane)(Cheshire Senior cup)(might have been playing Winsford, but not sure)Cammel Laird was a shocker back in the 70s,dont know what its like though now

As a team from several leagues higher up the pyramid we should, in theory, be expecting to go there and win. However, I'll be honest and say that a draw would not be a disaster - there are no easy games in this competition and Shildon won't be an easy place to go to.

They don't have wifi there it's all wieye (man)

I can see it being a bit of a technical nightmare for the Radio Robins team

Tell Brian he may need to pack the 200m extension lead as per Vauxhall Motors?
