Coming over as billy big bollocks only leads to one thing. Their ground looks good enough to me. Far better than that Darlington Arena monstrosity.

Come off it, it is a stand in the middle of a field.

Let's not beat around the bush eh?

it's a stand, a covered terace and a portacabin....in the middle of a fiield.

I'm sure no-one will be complacent, that ground is nicer than tow law and cammel llaird's for example....

At the risk of sounding "BBB", I must say that stand roof looks like it's been donated by recently-demolished NHS call centre! I think it's fabulous.

As far as the game's concerned (I know that's another thread!) they may prove stiff opposition unless we score early doors, but we're more than capable of doing so and I honestly think we should all have a little bit more confidence going into this one.

Fully expecting a bit of flak after this post but I've seen us get some hidings myelf over 40 odd years and despite that I remain confident of victory - in fact I've never been so cock-sure about anything in a long while.*

* The last time was a home game to Barrow in the BSP about 6 or 7 years back when we were lucky to come out of it with a draw!  ::)

I am always hugely entertained when we get all indignant at what we percieve as disrespectful comments about our Team, Club or Ground yet feel perfectly entitled to belittle others.

At least some of our comments will help motivate Shildon

As per my first post, I think it's lovely, a real traditional ground, just like ours.

Talking of lovely, just read the Crawley v Portsmouth match report in The Guardian by James Riachs:

There was more than a touch of irony, then, when the home supporters partook in a rendition of: 'Where's your money gone?' Schadenfreude can be a dangerous thing and for a club with such a turbulent past, those Crawley fans would be better served to remember their own troubled history before aiming such jibes at others.
