TBH the BBC does not know it's arse from it's elbow for non-league. They just copy everything off our main site and the SAM site. It's a wonder they are not quoting the forum too!

I'm a bit confused here on two fronts.

Firstly despite the fact that he has been awesome for Burton he is 37 which will make him a short term signing at best. Would we not be better looking to bring someone in who is a bit younger and may last longer hence obviating the need to look again shortly.

Secondly, and I may have misunderstood earlier, but wasn't he coming to us because we were in BSN to reduce the travelling. Now we are back in BSP will he still want to come? What will be different travelling all over with us compared to travelling all over with Burton, except I would imagine we wont pay nearly as much.

My understanding is that he needs to go part time in order to accomodate his new career. Unless there was significant travelling to be done for a midweek fixture I reckon he'd be ok.

This is the way I've interpreted things but I may be wrong.

Less training  = less travelling
Lives in Cheshire = less travelling to home games and training

Suppose you could sell it like that. He's 37 but I think he's still a good aqusition, just dont have faith in Talbs im afraid. I think his experience will be invaluable to people like rose and munroe, its got to be a good move.

I think we need more youth in midfield, a couple more players who arent afraid to run at people and try to impress. plus we need pace on the flanks.

Never mind his age. If he can do a job and bring on the younger players then he has served his purpose.
