We always enjoyed a ground with an adjacent railway track. Bamber Bridge, Lancaster and Burscough come to mind. There may well have been others.
Kidderminster, and their famous soup - the perfect ground for the railway enthusiast foodie! For the first Cup match against West Ham, the Severn Valley Railway ran a football special. One away day there when I treated myself to a trip on the railway, a Harriers fan on the train asked me if I was ready to get beat - I pointed out we were on a decent run, and we duly got something there. I think Kidderminster were top then though I can't recall the season off hand. About the 10th of March anyway.
I used to work with someone from Collyhurst, a keen City fan, who tended to show a bit of antipathy towards Altrincham. Poynton is probably posher than us as well. To be fair to City, I seem to remember them encouraging people to watch local non-league teams when City weren't playing (though back around 1999, there maybe wasn't that much difference!).
