Time to go retro.   Lets have one of those advertising hoardings with the alphabet on it like back in the day.  Each letter corresponds to a game listed in the programme and you hang the scores on rusty nails below each letter!  Those were the days ;D  (Although I don't think Alty ever did that either that I can remember!)

I stand in the crowd at half time and wait with anticipation for the announcer to tell me the half time scores of other conference games up and down the country.

But all i get is how many times someone can keep a size one football going up and down. Either that or I get to listen to something out of the top ten of the hit parade from 1974.

Why is it at almost all away games you get the half time scores yet at Moss Lane we get nothing. Without results it means i cant cheer if Vics or FGR are winning !!!

Now I know we dont have the most technically gifted commentary box but i am sure someone can run (or walk for that matter) from the bar to the box and read out the results.

(why i am not in the bar - the credit crunch is hitting my wallet that is why)

At least with some scores it would make the 20 minute wait in the snack bar queue entertaining for a least 2 minutes.

Perhaps full time scores might also be good to hear?

Seriously though can we have half time scores read out please - perhaps in the style of Pub Singer?

Fair point methinks.

Could we have a volunteer to supply Rafo with the scores as I am sure that he would be happy to oblige?

By the way, the ball may well be size one but the tricky bit is that it is square!

I dont mind doing this. I could get the scores off my phone as i dont pay for data charges. I get to 95% of home games so should be fine?

If Jenga complains about me though i will trap his fingers between the stoppers  ;)

Stoppers??

I thought there was only one stopper? or are we back to two?

Imagine if i get my fingers stuck between them, my PV would plummet and I might run the risk of getting peaked to death.

This club is on its arse !!!

A good cure for that is to use the pulp from an avacado fruit as a balm

On a boring technical note is there anything that can be done to stop the speakers constantly cutting out when announcements are made. I think there may be a problem with the receiver ?

That's not a technical fault, it's actually Rafo's tribute to that 1970s 'comedian', Norman Collier, as shown on this clip (from 2.00 minutes in)...

Surely if the Gazelle can get through from Botswana we can make the PA system a little more audible ?

Never thought that was a problem, I can't hear my conversation when it's on.
