left chester at end of contract looking for higher level football!
-
I can't see Phil signing another left back.
-
I quite like Josh Askew.
Would be tempted to sign him if we release White, to push Connor for that starting berth.
-
I like Askew too, but (unless there are grave doubts about Andy White's injury status) I just can't see lb being Phil's priority. The same could easily be said of the GK position. I'd love to see Cameron Mason as our no 1 but I just can't see Phil releasing TT.

Really? Another left back? I askew!

I see what you did there. ☺

Both left backs injury prone

Is Askew better than Ogle?
-
I don't know what the fuss is about Ogle, he's looked very ordinary when I've seen him. Not awful by any means, but I don't think he's great either.

I agree.
However the first job for PP is to identify which of the squad he doesn't feel are NL calibre.
That's part of the job for this close season.
The second part of the job is to address our shortcomings with new signings.
The third job is to replace the OK players with better ones to improve us.
I think this last bit is too much to expect before next season, but would hope he could achieve the first two steps. (he really needs to).
Ogle, for me, falls into the OK category so I think he'll stay for now whilst other, more pressing, concerns are addressed.

I can see your point.

Andy White is better than Ogle.
We will get relegated if Ogle plays the majority of the season t full bck for us.
