$100000 to sponsor the big screen. Who does this guy think he is. Mind you if companies are willing to pay this then good luck, money coming in to the club.

My favourite is the training facility naming rights - what training facility?  Does this guy know which club he's bought?

Mrs Bath Alty says this reminds her of those programmes on the telly where people pay for luxury holidays only to actually get there and find they are in a half built Butlins!

I'm sure April the first doesn't fall in the close season?????

I've just spent 5 mins reading their forum. Jesus Christ. Even by football standards this is insane.

You can now buy a framed Oxford City shirt for $250. Sure they'll be flying off the shelves in the US.

A charming little football club where you can drink on the terraces who were just pleased to reach the Conference North, such a shame this has been allowed to happen. The regular fans don't appear to know what is going on.

to troll effectively (as you have been doing) there needs to be at least the slightest possibility that you are being serious!

I just think we should let Oxford get on with it. Who are we to judge?

F*** that, I'm sponsoring a player for $25,000. Granted it seem to have gone up a bit since I sponsored Chrissy Adams socks for a fiver but it says the players will be available for commercials, pictures and promotions of your products for the entire season.

"Hi Danny, yep sorry mate, that hamburger joint in Delaware that sponsors you want you to do a photo shoot again. You can't get yourself on a flight over there can you?... yes I know you were concerned with the travelling in the BSN rather than the BSS..."

Say that then.

We are people who have been watching non league for longer than 6 months and know the market better than some mental yank. It's humorous why can't we laugh?

This isn't an 'Alty fan tut tutting at another club at our level who have hit the jackpot' post to which I know you are very averse. More a WTF is all this about? Which is the reaction of all the Oxford fans on their own forum. If this guy is genuine and pumps the cash in to get Oxford up the leagues then fair dos. At the moment all he has is a slick website and some press releases. He hasn't explained a thing to the Oxford fans or spoken to the Council (who apparently own the ground). Jamie in being contrary SHOCKER (can't tell if you're trolling or not these days so if you are get the fishing rod out).

Aha, just seen Hughesy's post, the guy being a serial scammer in the US makes perfect sense now.

its not our business

why do the righteous feel the need to crow about others

what will be will be at Oxford, its not for us

we sound like churlish busy bodies trying to put the world right looking at others with distain

It might not be our business Jamie but surely football forums (especially in the close season) discuss other clubs and the wider world?

There won't be another club who know Oxford City who won't be open mouthed at how wide of the mark he is with those prices.  I've given up heckling sugar daddies now as more of these team seems to have them than don''t these days.

However when I see that Oxford want to charge £7,000 for a sponsor board and £7,000 for a match sponsor and you could get both at Alty for £12,750 less its going to get a mention.

It's funny and we are taking the piss out of.  If he does propel them into the league and beyond I'll happily say "I remember laughing at that bloke 5 years ago", no problem at all.

if this bloke is a serial scammer I'd be very wary if I was on oxford's database as a season ticket holder or something....

Dear fan,.....blessings on you for winning a free season ticket....to claim your prize simply send 250$ refundable admin fee.....................
