The King George will be showing the Altrincham v Chester match on the 19th July at 3pm.
The match will be shown on 14 TVs across the pub as well as the big screen!
We will also be donating £100 to the Alty fundraiser for each Altrincham goal scored in normal time (90 mins)

How?
-
I hope this is true....... if so will we need to book tables?
-
I understand that things are very difficult at this point of time, but kinda ironic that we can crowd into an indoor pub and watch the game but not stand on the terraces and watch said game.
I guess there may only be say 200 or so in the pub, compared to 1000+ in the stadium, but still...indoors in a small building vs outdoors in a stadium. Don't get me wrong, I probably would bot condone 1000 people together singing at the same time, but still, it seems that in terms of managing risk something is off.
Not blaming the club, the league, anyone...just making the point as to how weird things are these days
I will be tuning into radio robins...but I am kinda ill at the moment anyway and it may be covid so you bastards don't want me anywhere near you right now lol

Their going to do a thing with a whatchamacallit that connects to blue cable.....and then Josh Hancock will smash one in from 30 yards. Hope this helps.

Are the pub still showing it being a 13:30 kickoff?

No-one can answer that as it hasn’t been announced which platform the game will be broadcast on.
-
King George aren't taking bookings for this. Real shame.
Will have too look somewhere I can guarantee a safe seat.

Details coming soon - we have now had confirmation from the League.
-
My son sent me a note saying it will be via Chrome Cast what ever that is. No doubt now be a struggle to watch.

It would be so much easier if they just put it on a tv platform
-
So does this mean we won't be able to get it on the telly in some way and we'll have to get it on the computer? Hope not!

Sounds like it unless you can get it via a smart tv or firestick

Sounds like my best option is to pop up there on match day with a pogo stick and a pair of binoculars! 😉

Saughall Robin, do you have a laptop or similar, you can then run it through your TV, but not sure how you do it. My kids know and they will be with me on Sunday. Are any pubs in Chester showing it??
-
Some older fans sounding really fed up at this so I wanted to advise.
None of us know exactly how things will work yet but my initial thoughts are that rather than rushing out and buying anything new, if you already have a laptop computer and an HDMI cable to connect it to your TV, then you should be all set for watching the game from your living room.
-
That's it Freddie, thanks very much for clarifying, that's what my kids do.
-
You should be able to buy any of the packages on your laptop once available online, as per email details sent. The purchasing details will be shown soon, then do as Freddie says. That is how we watched the Halesowen game. Ensure your laptop is connected to mains so it does not run out during the game, disaster!!
-
Saughall.
HDMI:
If you've got a laptop or personal tablet the simplest way to watch the match would be to purchase (if you don't already have one) a comparable HDMI lead. This would show allow your TV to show whatevers on your laptop screen (the match).
You might already have one if you own a Sky, Virgin Media or NowTV box.
You can get them at most supermarkets or online very cheap.
ChromeCast:
This is a way of a smart TV showing whatever is on your laptop (via Google Chrome browser) or Android phone via Google technology.
Youll need to know if your TV is compatible or buy a £30 Google Chromecast device to plug in your TV.
Either way DM / reply what you have TV/laptop and I'll advise what I'd recommend

Whole game package may be good, unless we do not get past Chester or York. May be better to purchase one at a time as and when.
-
Beats jumping up and down with a pair of binns anyway :D
-
Thanks all! We've got a laptop and the cable so I'll get one of my techy minded off spring to sort it out for us when the details are released.

Hadn't thought of it like that Steve, that's a top tip.
-
Unless you want to buy the whole package for all 15 games, don't want to do that and rain bad luck on the club, superstitious fellow that I am.
Maybe I should be more confidant in the team, but though they are a great side, you never know with playoffs.
JJ put some notes in which the club have picked up on from Chester, but I have decided to ignore him - they are worried. Plus the players said they cannot wait to play against him!!
-
Given the change of kick off and the unusual hosting platform, will it still be shown in the King George?

Yeah it seemed so when I rang this morning, but no bookings - I imagine it'll be busy for United Chelsea towards Full time.
-
with only four days to go to the big game there's not a lot of information out there on how to get this. the quoted piece from chester on john's website doesn't really help a lot.
-
I think now that the promotion of Kings Lynn has been approved and PPG ratified, we will see some info published later today, I believe the club have the information to distribute.
-
I imagine they will send us a buyable link very shortly, it will appear on the club websites once they release it, may be tomorrow.
-
Radio Robins for me then.
-

No, BT Sport aren't showing it LIVE, they may have a highlights program ofcourse
-
Doors open at 11am tomorrow, get in early to guarantee your seat!

Thank you very much from the club to our near neighbours in the King George. You will be glad to know we eased up at 3-0 to prevent further strain on your wallet. I nipped in after the game, and I can confirm that the Alty faithful had had a great time watching another historic Phil Parkinson achievement. It would be great if you could contribute to our crowd funder. The link can be found here:
