The ironic thing is that this sort of scaremongering can actually increase the likelihood of trouble.  Any idiots say from United or City who want a scrap will read this, see that its Millwall and organise something.  How much better if we had played the liitle non-league club card and gone out of our way to welcome Millwall as part of our big day.  They wouldn't be up for it in any way and we get more through the gate - job done.

Ridiculous??

Altrincham is now behaving like some snobbish town, full of ignorant idiots engrossed in the media......True to form then!

There should perhaps be 10 or 12 coppers in the ground and a few extra patrolling the town before and after the game, similar to the visit of any league team.

Millwall's so called reputation stems from films mainly. People seem to forget what happened at Oxford last season? Would we close tesco for their visit, when we actually have evidence they might cause trouble against Altrincham??

Ridiculous, but not suprising i'm afraid, the whole thing stinks of ignorance!

As was said by a Millwall fan just after the draw was made Those Days are gone.Like most league clubs you do get the odd idiot.I know a Millwall fan and he is a very nice man he is East end London through and through an dmust be around the 80 mark a true Gentleman.
We have one of the worse clubs for trouble (used to be) in the area in United their fans had a terrible reputation at one time,So whats all the fuss about.
WELCOME MILLWALL with the open friendlyness that Alty is known for.

I remember over the last couple of years when Old Trafford has been used for England games & FA Cup
semis etc when Alty was full of Chelsea & Liverpool fans all drinking in the Station & many other pubs around
town but was there any trouble .....NO

So why they hell all the fuss for 500 football fans from London ?

I have think there is still the fancy dress shop on Moss Lane bridge, mayybe that should shut as well in case some ballet shoes get into the wrong hands.

I think shops in Alty with wedding dresses may pull down the shutters.  :D
