Isn't the world strange, down here in rip-off-London most scrapyards actually charge to get rid of your vehicle, between £25-£50. Which is why many end up burned out in cul de sacs. Even some that charge then dump the car in the street somewhere.

They paid me £100 for mine way up here on the M25 border.
