I remember the old Ramblers walking all over us yonks ago.

Yes. I was at that one too. That ground was a bit of an eye opener wasn't it?
Slightly better than Middlewich if i remember right.😀

You might be right but I really don't think there was much in it. 😏

Does anybody know if Radio Robins are there tonight? There is nothing in the match preview.

Never in doubt and could have/should have been close to double figures.

Great setup at Sandbach. It was good to see  fringe players getting a game plus the experience of Gould,Hulme,Pringle, and Jones.

Good opening goal for Goodson. Bennett chipped in with a couple and Jordon rounded it all off with a fourth.

A good solid performance.

Looking forward to the winning run continuing next Sat when Gateshead come calling,  in the FA Cup.

Onwards & Upwards

We enjoyed our first visit to Sandbach Utd, good set up. Bit Chilly though. Overall good to see us up for the game with a changed team. Comfortable victory, but a good workout. Good to see Goodson, good finish and has potential. Bennett was good until went off with what appeared to be a hamstring tweak. Good to see Jordan bag a cheeky back heel goal. Positive momentum for Saturday as well.

It was an expected victory given the experience we had through the middle of the pitch but I was quite impressed with Rogers-Morris and Roxburgh. Wouldn't mind both of them going out to gain some experience in the Northern Premier League.

Sandbach deserve fair credit for continuing to try and play a decent style of football regardless of the ten men and scoreline.

As others have said, it was a great set-up and the bar offering was phenomenal for a football ground. The patio outdoor area with some decent seating and a couple of hatches for refreshments, is really all we needed for a viable Fan Zone ourselves.

I see that Sandbach had the sort of outdoor heaters I've mentioned previously too. Is that something it would be possible to recreate here? (I seem to remember reading that Guildford City (or possibly Romford) had a heated stand in their glory days!).

They will probably be banned once the leccy starts to get rationed 😉

Don't worry, I'm sure we'll have one someday.

We could get a respected former player to perform the opening ceremony. Where is Chris Senior nowadays ?
