I appreciate ever since 'For Sale' gate I might not be the most popular amongst our board, and around the club, but one of the projects I've worked on over the years is creating pop-up and permeant terraces for pubs and bars alongside our sales and events teams. During lockdown, I've never had to create as many spaces as possible; all whilst battling material problems.they look good those
I'd love nothing more than to help Paul, Bill and the club create an outdoor space that can become a real money-spinner. We didnt need that Altrincham-market esque corner; but what we do need is a functioning drink space that works hard pre-match and half time.
It'd be great if we could spend the money we've got left, leveliling off the space and then working within our means to create a smart, on-brand space that serves drinks and simple food.
yes sorry I probably should have asked the question in another thread . I agree with you the reality was so far off the designs it's become largely irrelevant. It can be functional for now and go from theredo we have any indication of when the fan zone will open ??Can we make the progress though?
Played last season with no crowds.
Crashed out of the FA Cup early.
Crashed out of the FA Trophy early.
Unbudgeted repairs to the ground
Capped attendances while the work was done
Unbudgeted security officials going forward
The money tree must be looking a bit bare by now.
Our crowds have never been higher, we're regularly selling players. The fan zone should be a money maker. Grimsby had all they needed.
Sick of excuses
Nope. I suspect it has been shelved.
Not to hijack the Grimsby thread for the Fan Zone but I'd suggest it's not too late to review the Fan Zone offering and perhaps strip the idea back into something more manageable and completable. Level the ground and bring a few trailer units in. Didn't really need much else.

We’re so low on belief and confidence. Beaten by a better side, but we didn’t even look like scoring. These next two games are make or break.I can't see us getting anything from Torquay
Listening to RR we were poor, low on confidence and sounded like we didn't function well from midfield to the forward line, they soon shut us down when we attacked. I'm concerned.I can't see us beating Torquay . Kings Lynn is literally a must win .
Next 2 matches are huge now.
We were awful true, but why Digie is singled out is beyond me…I agreed I thought he looked very good particularly in the first half
I thought he was one of the ‘better’ performers tonight.
bravono one knows where he is sadly . Him and Jordan have gone off the mapThere will be an announcement at 9pm tonight, the club have tweeted.
Chris Senior the next Business Club speaker?
I think Jordan is in the Middle East.

These would be good subjects, especially if we can find out where Senior is!it's all a mystery to me .
made me smile thisWould you have any of them back at Alty? Any would probably be a bit controversial, and you might struggle to find one or two of them...Senior yes Hulme yes Covid Nah.
Happy new year! Might even get to see you at a match one of these days!
Chris senior ?
A more encouraging display than that Edgeley Park debacle but, let's be honest, Wrexham effectively declared at half-time.
I thought that Wrexham lacked the creativity, pace and attacking menace that County exhibited against us but you wouldn't back against them reinforcing their squad with some significant names over the next few weeks.
For all of our possession during the second half, we failed to work their goalkeeper on even a single occasion.
Disappointing to see Marriott's home debut curtailed by injury but at least Digie looked more convincing.
Rumours persist (once again) of the return of a familiar face in the quest to boost our strikepower, so we shall see what the January transfer window brings.
