with the emphasis on Premier League -style ball possession ;D

Looking to follow in Scarborough's footsteps in every sense then.......
-
Can't decide which my favourite bit is...
I think its
"We also need to get into the play-offs of the Blue Square Premier"
Need? Why?
-
"Neil is currently fifth in the all-time list of players with the most Football League and Cup appearances."
This reminded me of a line in the Alty programme when we played Radcliffe in our darkest days:
Regarding Ian Bishop ex-mcfc - "Ian topped off a glittering career with an England B cap!"
No minor acheivment but a touch of the tinpots anyway!!!
-
Did Redfearn manage Halifax when they were last relegated from the Football League?
-
Ok I was wrong but almost as good as Brian Horton

I'm just utterly flummoxed at how they arrived at Redfearn in this interview process. Picture the scene Mike Connett, John Bond and neil Redfearn in a CLOSED magnificent high profile marina 5 michelin star eaterie overlooking the shimmering clear waters of the meditter River Weaver.
MC: Okay we are 'allegedly' a part time club, we need to play good football and get into the Conference/Blue Square Prem play offs. That's the job spec.
JB: So Neil, how do fit that bill? Tell us what managerial experience you have in the Conference/Blue Square Prem.
NR: (shuffling in chair) Well.., the season before last I was manager at full time Scarborough. We managed to finish bottom of the Conference/Blue Square Prem, adrift of part time teams like Tamworth, Forest Green Rovers, Southport, Altrincham and Canvey Island. We got relegated.
MC & JB together: "GREAT, YOU'RE HIRED!! WHEN CAN YOU START??"
::) :P :o :) ::)

I think this was the point where the contract was sealed ...
MC "Will you play my son"
NR "Yes"
MC "Jobs yours mate"
