Scheduled to play Ashton Utd (H) but CSC fixture also supposed to fall on that week. What takes priority?
-
Ridiculously the CSC takes priority over the league!
-
I'd guess it's because a cup game has to be played by a certain date due to further rounds to get in before a set date for the final. The league game can be played at any time between now and the end of the season so, in theory, can be more easily moved.

We will play Ashton United on the 6th. We have asked the Cheshire FA to push the CSC tie back because Winsford v Warrington not played yet. Target date fir the CSC is 20 Feb but not yet confirmed (won't be earlier than 20th)

Winsford v Warrington- OFF

Winsford v Warrington- OFF
...which means they've had 3 postponements in 2 days (they were scheduled to play both their 2nd AND 3rd round league cup games tomorrow evening). Impressive :D

According to their Twitter, Warrington will play either Matlock in the League or Wealdstone in a Trophy replay next Tuesday (Feb 6th) and Winsford in the CSC on Weds 7th.. So we might possibly be playing Winsford for the 141st time in our history come mid-Feb ... Seriously, though, I can fully understand Warrington's logic in this.
