What a brilliant performance by the  team.
The boys never stopped running.
Would just like to single out Mark Joseph, who again was outstanding  :)

That wasnt hard...

But great to hear my fellow fans belting out songs (before and after the goal)

My quick headcount suggested 84 - however this was rough so probably more

Great to see all the flags

If anyone was present last Cup game they will have seen that the stands were very full last time - I'll put the pics of the two stands (empty-ish) on later along with the flag pictures.

Sam Hallet has a video of the post match reaction  (see other thread)


I believe somebody did, andrew flynn i think although I havent seen the clip but he recorded the corner.

Indeed a sterling performance by the team -TBH, I was fearful of a backlash from Mansfield after their result on Saturday. The real worry was the amount of times that Mansfield managed to get clear headers from corners and free kicks. Also well done to the Mansfield keeper who applauded the Alty supporters at the end of the game.

However, if we can recall from the Alty website the other day:

"The Mansfield MAD site has a preview of Alty's game at Mansfield. It says that the Stags are "aiming to preserve their record of never having lost at home to the visitors. Of the two previous meetings, the Stags have won one and drawn one...

With the current standing of Altrincham, I firmly believe this match can only produce a victory for the Stags".

Good job they aren't relying on this lot to predict the lottery numbers to help them financially!!

I cant understand how they failed to mention Alty's greatest threat from corners,...Marc Joseph either ;D

He's been a bit mixed. When he's been on his game, he's been a real asset, but he's had a couple of bad games as well. Personally I'd like to keep him, but you'll have him back at the end of the month. Apparently, his problems were with Holdsworth, so maybe he'll be back to his best for you !
