How do we measure our disappointment?

Yesterdays result hurt more than any of recent times I can remember, more than Trafford in fact. Bloody disgrace.

I know people from the club read the forum so perhaps this is a concise way to let them know how deep this cuts.

I dont have all possible answers but for me this wont be rectified until we do something in the FA cup, yesterday really ticked me off and i wasnt even there.

Still livid

Staying up is by no means a given and it would be an achievement but looking at the signings made and how they have performed I think that it will be a bigger achievement simply because of our failings of the pitch.

I'll be made up if we stay up but I can't help thinking that we should be massively disappointed if we go down and for me it won't be a big enough achievement to stop me being livid about the cup. I am still livid too, its not going away this one.

Numbers 3 & 4 would do me

No chance of no 4 happening though

Possibly the worst thing for me is that I thought that this year we could do it again. Two benevolent draws, albeit away, but at significantly lower opposition, I thought we'd get into R2, hopefully get a decent draw and then who knows, the old days back again. So disappointing, and such an opportunity chucked away. I'm usually pretty philosophical but I really am angry and upset this time.

Echo that, it just feels like we as fans put a huge amount of pride in the clubs history in the FA Cup and the club themselves aren't that arsed. You can say its not the club, but from top to bottom those players should have had it drilled into them that Sunday was a cup final.

You cant even argue that we should focus more on the league, we've just beat Lincoln and clear of the relegation zone.

I know it has been devalued in recent years but Wembley is still the place to dream of for me. Once, twice, three times to a big league ground doesn't have the same ring.

Anyway, second round of the trophy will be something after blyth so long way to go yet.

I want 2 wins in 2, we're owed that. but it would really just gloss over and annoy me we couldn't turn up Sunday.

Bringing in 2 players, and curing away the dead wood (+ 2 wins) would do it for me. Gives us a good shot in trophy and league.

I'd love a trophy run as well. So they can make up for Blyth by winning the trophy

Every year in this division we should be in the 1st round.

Would the ten who voted for the first two unachievable options like to recast their votes?

So more people think that staying up is the best way of making good this past week.  I suspect that would have been a very similar belief before the Blyth game.
