looked terrible against us and sent off as well.

don't understand why he can ruin an international team with stars like giggs, bellamy but can't ruin a forest green rovers or conference defence????

I've seen Shane Smeltz play many times at AFC Wimbledon, a good striker and finisher but very light when against robust defenders and easily bossed out of the game. Given space he does well but he's easily kept quiet by teams who know how to.

He was at Mansfield earlier in his career but not sure if he played first team football there?

With the saquad announced and the cote seemingly happy with what he's got for next season and still announcing we are cash strapped and North West counties pay more than us I don't think we are looking for another forward.

We definetly need a right winger, a left back...and I'd rather see eddie back than Bushell.

The squad as it stands will push for the play offs..we need more creativity to be definete contenders I feel.

Agree with this. We need some speed down the flanks in this league (which league?) Southport have Duffy and Baker signed for another year and will score lots and lots of goals in Conf North. I still think Rod can do it at that level, but that leaves a winger short - shame about Chris Senior.

I don't share your confidence re. Rod Thornley but I do concur that the present squad is desperately short of pace.
Still require a left full back and a creative winger....at least!

Believe Smeltz has returned to Australia (where he grew up) so not just a case of being "released" in the traditional sense. So yes, definitely out of your reach!
