We find winning form.  Not an easy game as the talking bum-hole will have his lads fired up, but we win a scrappy game 2-0. No real flow from either team but goals midway each half are enough for Alty.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a red card.

The referee and assistants are all in rude health, leaving Frank Mohammed Sinclair looking for others reasons to get the game replayed.

(Somebody has changed his name on the Wikipedia page - naming him Frank Singh Sinclair)
He's only Singh when he's winning - hopefully he won't be singhing tomorrow
No need to lubricate the vocal chords tonight nobhead .  ;) :D

Sadly I will miss this fixture. (I will be at a Frank Sinclair appreciation society gathering being held in a phone box) ;)

I always feel that the way Colwyn Bay play suits us and we seem to play well against them.

3-1 Alty .

Att 801  - 22 from Colwyn (not including nobhead's 17 undercover minders)

Top prediction.  ;D

An altogether decent showing I thought. The passing was much better today and how Walshaw couldn't get a game for 6 weeks I do not know. Stuart was superb as well - I have questioned him this past few weeks, but I have to hand it to him today.

Indeed. A good team selection got what it deserved - good performances all round and well deserved 3 points. James Walshaw was superb today, absolutely excellent finishing. But overall all the lads did well - Stu made some good saves (pen included), Scott Leather was v solid at the back, Simon Richman was everywhere and Reevesy was very unlucky not to score as well.

Top stuff lads, keep it going!

Yes really enjoyed the game today, both sides played some decent football and wally was the difference between the sides. Wish Damian had scored when it was cleared off the line as he ran his socks off today and deserved a goal.
Whole team did well today, Lawrie did well and improved us, we really need to play like that on tuesday at Oxford.

Agreed on Scott Leather. An almost flawless display, would have been MOM most days, but Walshaw's hat trick made him a shoo-in.

Great game and result.

It's just a relief really after all the postponements.

We need to negotiate the next two banana skins and we're right back in it.

Walshaw different class, Leather excellent and I thought Adam Griffin had a decent game as well.

They were on a good run with a point to prove and we put them to bed.

It was a must win today and we won it, got to take that into the next two and then it's all to play for again.

It's dead easy being a manager, all you have to do is pick your best players.
I can't see why some of them make it such hard work.

Yes an all together solid team performance.  Special mention to Lawrie who more than played his part in a position he rarley shines in. (Does beg the question of why we extended Mwailse's loan). Superb hat-trick from Walshaw but Clee was my man of the match.

As for Bay I'm glad they didn't start to play until 2-0 behind. When they did play they looked decent, may have been a nail biter if the pen had gone in.

Onwards and upwards to Oxford for what will be a battle on a very heavy pitch.
