The most pressing problem we have is NOT at left back, but a new forward. We are competing in a mini league of 7/8 teams at the bottom of BSP,and as was demonstated on monday, teams like Stafford are not capable of inflicting much damage on either flank. Therefore we should make do and not waste our scant resources in this area.Where we do have a serious problem is scoring enough goals to win matches like monday, where we never looked like loosing, but couldnt impose ourslves enough to win the game.Simply,we do not have the personnel to play 4-5-1 effectively,as we dont have a midfield player with the fitness level/energy to continually support the lone striker.Hence Senior became increasingly isolated ,and only Peyton got forward quick enough to support the deliveries into the box.To win this mini league we need to play 4-4-2 and try to grab a couple of goals,as i cannot see many shut outs.

Have to agree that a new striker would make all the difference.

A very good point that it's not a left back limiting the free scoring Exters of this world that we need. You're right, we need to smash the teams that are there for the taking and bollocks to the others. With 7 or 8 poor sides knocking around a return to 2005-06 with important wins amongts heavy defeats would be acceptable.

I agree that we are lightweight up front, but bizarrely we have scored in every league game but one this season and it has been the errors in defence that has let us down.

Must be a puzzle for GH. Is Matty Berkely the answer when he returns?

Colin Little needs to play every game when available, so does that mean O'Neil should be dropped?  Personally I think we do lack a big un up front who holds possession and scores 15 goals a season but alas everyone wants one of them on their books
