A new sign bearing the legend: "Altrincham FC - The J Davidson Stadium" is reportedly being affixed to the outside back wall of the main stand.

Any chance that the old one could be raffled/auctioned off....?

I think the sign is made up of individual letters as wasn't one missing for ages?

If it is coming down then maybe they will keep it to put back up when if/when the deal ends with Davidsons?

Bit sad if it is coming down as its quite iconic in its own little way.

Just seen the new one - looks horrendous - cheap and nasty - could have left the old Altrincham FC where it was and J Davidson Stadium underneath.

Really happy with how the club is being run, however my concern is the developments on paper look cheap and tacky! I know its about money but lets do a proper job from the off! Otherwise our neat little ground might become like J Davidson's new scrapyard! New hall from outside (inside the ground ) looks like an extended porta cabin!

I wouldn't describe the mausoleum and the collapsing club shop as neat mate

Doesn't the new hall from inside the ground look like the family stand but with a small terrace in front?

There was no need to spend any money of 3d drawings and making it look good, surely its whats inside that will matter.

If there is to be a couple of rows of standing or seating in front, it would be nice if the opportunity was taken to add two or three wheelchair spaces with seats adjacent for a carer. We should be doing that these days.

As for the sign. It doesnt look that bad. Same style just smaller saying 'ALTRINCHAM FC - J Davidson logo STADIUM'
